Hi,

I have a G25 and recently the VDC and Brake lights stated coming on. I brought it in to the dealer and they said I need rear brakes. I just want to confirm that I am not getting ripped off. With all other cars in the past, the brakes would give a pitch sound when the breaks were low. Its also weird that the lights only really seem to come on when the weather is cold. Yesterday it was in the 50's and the lights did not come on at all.

When at the dealer, they also said I needed a new drive belt for around $300. I called infiniti Customer Service to complain that for a car with only 20k miles, this does not seem right. They will now replace the drive belt at no charge under good will.

Thanks for any suggestions or tips.

Those lights are normally a indicator of a brake malfunction. It will also come on if the brake fluid is too low.
