The 94 and later G20 had a revised emission head design which made them a slug compared to a 90-93 G20.

A properly maintained and tired [oem 170 treadwear index] and functioning VLSD and transmission 90 Q can do a 15.1/93 quarter at sealevel and 68F.

Unlikely that any [non turbo modified] G20 can come anywhere close to the Q 155 mph top speed.

Never heard of a US rebuilt Q engine functioning very well?

Im not a Q expert but I owned a G20 last week in my J30 ,He jumped off the line quicker but by the time I hit second I felt a bit guilty. And I'm quite sure a Q would do the same to me.

A **** talkin friend of mine owned an early 90's G20 5 speed. He "THOUGHT" it was fast.. I didn't think so.. So we raced.. It went down by a nose to my 98 altima.. To worsen the injury its COMPLETLY STOCK with an auto and 224k on the odo.. He got ahead out of the hole - but I reeled him in and by 70 had his front bumper mid drivers door.. And trust me, I know what my 99 Q would do to my altima.. and I know what a G50 would do to my Y33 ...

Actually - Don't waste your gas, or risk a ticket or crash.. Just tell him its not worth the gas or time... You don't need to hurt his feelings.

Nor do you want to explode your transmission...I agree, tell him to take his 4-banger and stuff it.

We just dumped a 1995 G20. It was by far the worst car we ever had. Ever. Not only was it unreliable, it was a burden to drive. One positive: It cruised down the highway reasonably well.

I could get off my big behind and run down the street in flip flops -- I would still outrun a G20.

Sorry about the rant; I hated that piece of [bleep].

The 90-93 G were probably the most reliable vehicle Nissan has ever made to date. Perfect for a daughter to drive to college/HS, automatics were perfect for a evil misbehaving son to be given as 1st car...............with an ecu reprogram to limit top speed to 75 mph.

I thought they were great. Used to get them as loners and they were peaky with pizazz. You could throw them into the corners far better than the Q ship

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA .... G20 vs G50. I just pissed my pants laughing. Do not even indulge the idiot with a race. Stock for stock, he will lose, and he will lose bad, and he will cry and come up with excuses.

Just because it FEELS fast doesnt mean it IS fast.

If I was going to get a P10 (91-96) G20 for my kid it would be a 94+ model because they have airbags. I loved my old '95 G20t automatic but it wasn't quick by any means. My I30 is much, much faster. The G20 does handle very well though.
