A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

This is probably a stupid question, but is a sr20det swap into a G20 about as easy as it is into a B13 Sentra SE-R? I had a '92 SE-R and miss it. My budget has increased dramatically and I like the idea of a det swapped G20.

I'm looking at late model G20's and loving them to death. Definitely my idea of a perfect daily driver.

Yes. It's the same drop-in process. A late model G20 is going to have more emissions equipment, though. Thankfully, that's relatively easy to deal with unless your state sucks.

Yes, my main concern is OBDII, which of course my county has to have. The surrounding counties and I think most of the state doesn't have it but god forbid mine goes without.

The new engine won't be compatible with OBDII correct?

I passed emissions with my JDM sr20 in my SE-R, even though it had no EGR, without a hitch. But I'm guessing that since the later G20's have OBDII then that'll be a tough problem.

If you use a JWT-tuned B14 SE-R ECU to run the swapped engine and move the second O2 sensor behind the cat, you should be able to pass the OBDII test. I'd think that if they can tune the fuel supply, they can also make the ECU ignore the lack of EGR, but if there's a strict visual component, you may fail.
