G20 A/T transsmision problem

Hi,

I have several problems with my Primera/G20 after engine wash few days ago.

It wasn't pretty weather to do such thing but I had to since I had some oil leak due to bad head cover gasket. I left car for two hours to dry before I started engine. At first everything seemed to be OK. After engine have wormed up the misfiring problem occurred. OK, that was fixed by drying spark plug holes and cables, but I have noticed two other problems. Los of power and shifting problem from 3-4-OD.

Bad acceleration and low power occurs occasionally mainly 1500-3000 rpm and disappears after 5-10 sec. What worries me is that transmission shifts from 1 to 3rd just fine and stays there, no 4th gear no OD. One more thing I have noticed is that shifting from D to 1 is useless since it acts like it is in D all the time.

I know that probably I have to wait until entire assembly dries out (I have mentioned here is wet weather past days) but I am worried if some parts can be damaged for good.

I didn't mention that nearest decent mechanic is 60 miles away and there is nobody who is able to fix A/T in the circle of 500+ miles, so I'll have to do everything by myself. Where to start?

OK, I fixed a part of the problem. A/T works fine now since I have cleaned inhibitor switch and all connectors attached to it.

The other problem still stays on. It is little bit confusing to me that huge loss of power occurs only when engine is half wormed up. When cold it works and pulls god, not perfect like before but it is acceptable. After it is warmed up (runs at 800rpm with jerk idling) it loses power and doesn't accelerate at all for few seconds (the worst it gets between 1500-2000 when A/T changes gear). Then it gets power back and acts normally for 30 secs - 1 min, and then goes bad again for few secs. After engine is fully warmed up everything seems to be normal except lower power (about 20%) than normal between 1500 - 3000 rpm. It happens again after engine is off for short time 10-30 min and doesn’t cool down fully. There is no CEL and no ECU codes.

Any idea?
