G20 a Sentra?

Is a G20 a sentra?

My impresion is no, A g20's body is only found within Infiniti in the US, In japan nissan has the primera.

The G20 is just a glorified Sentra. And it's JDM name is the Primera

OK...Is some one smokin crack here:)? The G20 IS NOT a sentra it shares NOTHING from the sentra the platform is of its own. That goes for the P10 and P11 G20.

i know now, its a primera, with no nissan counterpart.

And not in any way a glorified sentra

The first G20 was an exact copy of the 1990?-94 Sentra. Think of it as an SE-R with 4 doors and leather. I believe the current G20 is still a clone of the current model Sentra.

OK let me re-phrase this...NO G20 has every been a glorified Sentra...there are no chasis similarities other than the SR20 engine.

Motorweek states that the G20 is based on the Primera here. A simple google search will give people links to some basic info like this.

I'm trying to convince my buddy to sell me his '92 G20. The thing is small, agile, just right.

yup the g20 is on its own platform. The front suspension on the G20 is not strut-type like the sentra, its very similar to the Z32. The rear suspension is a widened Sentra sus however. The G20 is also an overall larger car than the Sentra as well, in length, width and....weight (try 300lbs).

Interchangeablity is pretty much limited to the SE-R's power/drivetrain. Even then the engine mounts and halfshafts are different.

True, they are not the same car, but they are overall similar. Small, sporty sedans. Though they share so little, I think of the G20 as the Sentra of the Infinti brand.

Just to resurrect/clarify this thread, they are NOT the same car. As was said, overseas they sell both the Primera & the Sunny. How could it be rebadged if they sell both at the same time under 2 different names.

Thanks, jus wait til I actually mod it. Most of the stuff I have listed in my sig are stuff I have, but still need to install/paint. Money's a lil scarce right now tho cuz Im getting married in 2 months...
