My '96 G20 has a serious oil leak. Had it worked on with new seals and cover. I took it back to shop today and after they cleaned it up, there was no sign of leak. Came home and leaked all over the driveway. Leaks everytime I park in drive. Spot is about 8-12" by 4-6". I guess I'll take it in again. Any suggestions? Thank you!

You're certain it's motor oil? What seals were replaced? Oil pan, valve cover, main, etc? You may have a puncture somewhere. I can't belive the shop that did the work couldn't find the source of a leak that big! Where did you take it to?

I think it is motor oil . . . as least part of the leak was oil. The car was leaking about 1/2 quart per week for the last month or so. When I took the car in, I could see the leak up on the rack. The mechanic said he replaced the cracked timing chain over and 2 seals underneath it. Now the leak isn't as obvious so it maybe from somewhere new. I took it to a local mechanic that put in a new alternator last fall. Thank you for the help!

You had a cracked timing chain cover? Those don't happen by themselves. Moreso it sounds like you may have a puncture or crack somewhere, especially since this big leak happened all of a sudden...or was it gradual? Did you hit something recently? Ask the shop to diagnose it for free (since they charged you last time to fix a problem that is not fixed). It shouldn't take too long, as big a leak as it is.
