I hit a coyote in my G Sat. and holy crap!!! the amount of damage is crazy! It was one of those, look over the shoulder to check for traffic....look back up and WHAM! Didn't want to drift into the traffic lanes but it was clear and I really didn't have a choice, coyote rolled under the G and threw me sideways. Car really handles great! HAHA So far the "estimate" from the insurance adjuster is $2500, but it will almost double after the body shop opens up the bumper and really gets inside her. So far the bumper, right wheel, windshield washer res., all the foam and such inside the bumper on the right side, radiator support, new projection headlight, right fender is bowed, and various other "plastic stuff" deep inside. Have to drop her off Monday to the shop. I'm trying to get the shop to order upgrades but I don't think the insurance will allow it.....There on top of it pretty tight. OH well, fresh paint on the front and a few scratches and dings getting fixed will be thrown in for free. There's always an upside I guess! Will have to see if the exhaust is damaged, if there are dents or bends looks like I may get an upgrade on the exhaust since there isn't a badge to designate which true dual exhaust I have. Been paying these guys for years with no other claims, might have to dip in the cookie jar! mmmmmm.......cookies! Will update the rest of the damage when I hear.

Pray fer the G. Curse the damn coyotes.

Sorry Logan,

The only thing that came to mind is to make sure they spray your front end with a harder paint so that you don't run into the chipping problem again.

I am glad you are okay. Well done with a great defensive driving. Yep, the G is one of the most stable midrange little cars out there. It can take a beating and still make it home.

No...I meant pics of the Coyote!

But yes, I was sort of expecting worse-that should be looking like new in no time-you seem to be pretty upbeat still all things considered.

Car companies need to bring the metal Bumpers back instead of plastic.

My Jeep has been in two "accidents" if you will call them that. Damage to other vehicles was over $4k...my Jeep escaped with a $12.95 bumper cap. Jeeps are beasts.

Tampa-I want to see pics of yours...I have a '92 lifted (and keyed, so badly in need of paint)

I had a cherokee since I was 4. My grandfather bought it in 1989. He got into 3 accidents with it.. My aunt got into one accident with it.

in 1995 when he went to get rid of it he gave it to my mom because it was a lot nicer than what she was driving.

My mom recked it once and then my dad had a factory paint job put on it!

It looked so nice! IT was the dark navy blue color!

Then Me and my dad started to use it to go off roading so we put 31x9.5x15 offroad tires on it. We never got a chance to put the tires in the mud.

My moms best friend barrowed it for 30 min and totaled it!

So last Christmas I got the itch to buy another one.

I found an exact copy of the Jeep I had. The only difference is that this one is Baby Blue and the 4x4 transfer case is the better model with the full time 4x4 mode.... (2H, 4H, 4fulltime, N, and 4L)

I put a 3 inch lift and painted all the underside to a shinny black! I have 33" BFG all-terrains. (they might be 32's... 265 75 16)

Right now My little sister (17) is driving it to school so I havn't painted it yet or put on the new front and rear bumpers, end caps or fender flars that i purchased for when it gets painted!

Here are some pics...

You didn't see any empty crates near by that said "ACME" did you? It would be a shame if you actually took out Wiley C. Coyote!

my car before my G35x was a 96 jeep sport... yes it is a tank.. it has 230k+ miles on it. the dealer asked was i going to trade it.... i looked at him and told him... "no, i'm more worried about my new car breaking down on me..."

i had the car for five years and never had any major engine trouble... just stuff like old hoses leaking and regular maintence... But the transmission did have to be rebuilt when i first got it in 2003. I mean my jeep has never once broke down on me... and i have only had one flat tire that was my fault. i hope my G35x treats me the same.

my jeep GOT hit by a toyota camery in the rear right door and it was about $2500 in damage to the toyota, i fixed my door for about $200 (i used to work in autobody shop)

but glad you ok cheapazz

They are great fun!

I love mine!

This one only has 105k miles on it. I bought it at Christmass of 2007 with 93k miles

The interior is like brand new. It looks as if it came off the showroom floor!

I love Jeeps-I like yours Tampa! I got mine re-done with patriot Blue but now that it needs more paint I think I'm ging to try the do-it-yourself paint for $50. I figure it is just getting beat on so no point in spending $1000s on it, right? Mine had a new engine put in a few years back but that's because it was constantly towing and that killed the 4.0L quick. I also have the Laredo style with the nicer 4WD system.

Don't the 33s rub with only 3in? I have 31s on a lift that used to measure about 4.5in but maybe closer to 4in now. I heard 33s were better for 5-6in of lift. Then there's gas....ugh!

It only rubs when it must flex a lot! I try to avoid that lol! I need to add a 1" block to the back for when towing my boat!

Mine does great towing the boat with no problems and I love it... I haven't done any performance mods yet... I (in a few years) am going to put the 6.1 L hemi in it! I might even buy a SRT10 truck and use that motor!

I love the Jeep and everything about it! I just want the thing to have Balls to the wall power! and i want it to have a good Growl too!

I don't have any problem with the power tho... I still beat 325 and 525 BMW's with the Jeep... Even with 33's

The best part is I am getting like 18-23mpg in it!

Oh the highway when going (GPS) 70MPH The rpms are only at 1750-1800 and it gets me really close to 24mpg!

If it had more power like a V8 or V10... Has room for this because of the Inline style motor makes for a long space under the hood! I would get rid of the G and drive it all the time!

It is just a fun truck and I love it!
