I know most of you are not from California.. But you have heard anything about Aptera 3 wheels car I know it is not a performance car. But I am admiring small company innovates when GM and Chrysler had fail. I think the car is entering production this month... should see on the street in California soon.

Depending on price and reliability, I'd consider one.

This is different than the other enclosed "motorcycle" right? Wasn't there one that actually leaned in turns?

Pretty cool looking really.

Being that Memphis is "America's Distribution Center" and 10% of the vehicles on the road here are 18 wheelers, I could never feel safe in something like that. My S2000 was bad enough.

Yeah, this is like a car, but just 3 wheels, no leaning I think. I think they said about 25K low end model and options and stuff could go up to 45K... but I don't know.. just got information from their website.

black... you got S2000? how is that compare to the G?

That is what I traded in on my G. Drove it for 4 1/2 years.

I loved it. It was really fun to drive, but had ZERO torque and I really got sick of the ZERO electronic goodies. The radio sucked and would only play one CD at a time. Manual seats, couldn't unlock passenger door from driver side, intermittent wipers only had one speed....just that kind of crap. I enjoyed it, but I love my G a lot more. Wished I had waited to trade it. Now that they don't make them anymore they are going for big bucks. Mine was flawless....just like my G would be if the paint didn't suck so bad.

It's alright...but...

As a motorcycle owner, there's no way I would do something like that, to not be giving it everything and getting scared of the speed & power, leaning into the curves, feeling the wind, being one with the environment.

As a G owner, there's no way I would live without the performance, the power, the comforts....

As a father of 4 kids, there's no way I could see picking up more than one person without shuffling home to drop one off to get the next one...

Then there's the whole sustainability thing, being environmentally conscious (for my kids & their future), and truly conserving fuel on my way to work, getting 100+mpg instead of what I get now (depending on what I take to work & the variables for those choices - golfing today?, taking the guys to lunch, how cool does it look!!!! )

It definitely has its plusses & minuses... I can see its usefuleness, but I can also see that I would never have one.
