Put my M45 away for the winter this weekend. Freshly detailed, Stabil in the gas tank, on jacks, suspended the liability insurance, and disconnected the battery. Hibernating with the Maxima (second winter of hibernation for this one) in the garage. See ya in five months

Geez, I couldn't bear being w/out my baby. That's why I got an M35x w/ContiExtremeContacts. I have a ball driving up to Canada a few times ea month during the Winter; lots of snow, lots of fun w/the M.

I just don't feel like subjecting it to road salt.

A very wise move! Get a sacrificial AWD SUV for the winter.

Methinks he needs to update his profile.

Nice! Our winters here in Albuquerque aren't as aggressive as yours. It was 72 degrees here yesterday. I'll be doing the same by mid December

I'm in CHicago too and it's supposed to be 75 here today. That is definitely no the typical November temperature though.

Yeah, I'm wondering how much longer it's going to last...I could have gotten a few more days in with a car that has torque

Unfortunately I have to worry about the sun beaming down on my baby 24/7 in Florida.

Here in Wenatchee, WA USA they don't use road salt anymore-it's more like some organic compound that is easily washed off w/the pressure wash I purchase twice each month in the winter (sometimes more).

With all the fear of road salt, in over 45 years (living in CO, WA, mostly) of driving (some illegally as a minor) I have yet to have any of my machines damaged visually by same?

But geez, I forgot. Most of us herein are obsessive and wildly compulsive about these babies of ours. Me too, but apparently less so re road chemicals. Half the fun is getting into the snow and mixing it up!!!
