Hey Grant, (or anyone else), do you have any info on the new BFG G-Force Sport tires? They seem like they have a harder rubber compound than other G-Force tires, but I've heard that they are pretty progressive feeling. Do you know anything about how stiff the side walls will be? Or, how they will wear? Do you know how much they will weigh? Do you know how they will compare with tires like ES100's or FM901's?Thanks

In the sizes I have seen (pre-release demo tires) in person they look to be very nice. Overall weight should be a few pounds less than the AVS ES100 and the FM901 (18lbs vs. 27 for the Yoko and 25 for the Dunlop in a 245/45-17 for example). We have not had the chance to get these out on the track or on the road yet. That's the only way to know how the tires will stand up to other models out there. We should have more info in a few weeks once I have a chance to get them on the track. Like any brand new tire, the only thing we have to go on now is the marketing info from the tire maker (and of course it's always the next best thing since canned beer:pface ). I'll post some insights as soon as I have a chance to get on a set.

Do a weird test of obsolete sizes..[in honor of the Gipper {RR}]........test all the 225/60/15 on an old Q45/BMW 635........Pilot H4, Pilot V4, KH11, AVS DB S2, & BFG Sport.

Just think how many lives you might save!Should we start an email campaign?

or a test of 215/50/16's. No one seems to make that size except Kumho for the 712's and BFG for the KDW.

It's not a crap size. It fits my 16x7.5" wheels very well, and I like the shorter sidewall/O.D. compared to a 215/55/16 tire size, which seems to be much more common.

Then get the 205/55-16. You can get real compeition intended tires such as the Azenis Sport, the RA-1, or AO32R, among others.

225-50-16 fits better on a 7.5 wheel...

yeah, I was kind of joking, I didn't really make that clear. I usually end up with whatever I can find used that seems decent for the 16" wheels. 205/50 is the way I think I'll probably go when I get new tires next week.

This is true. A guy at my shop today had an s13 with Z brakes, Z wheels, and 225/50-16 Toyo Proxes4's. Looked as close to perfect as one could hope.
