Just got the G Force chip.. Anyone know how to install this thing? Came with directions but as you may know the new M has 2 air intakes and this is to be installed on the air flow sensor? Does anyone have experience with this?

I had my suspicions when I opened the box. Thanks for confirming it. I will return it tomorrow. Thanks again.

Usually these chips are just a box with a resistor inside it. It may (or may not) provide a very small change in power, but it definitely wont do what it advertises. In addition any change it makes will be overcome shortly by the ECU relearning. The only way to increase power to the M would be to get it tuned and/or to add mods to the car. The best tuner for the M cars is UpRev, and I do not know if they support every area of the M37 and M56 yet as those are newer engines.

I used to have a chip in a brazilian car that allowed it to use ethanol. Without the chip car would need to have a separate started to be able to start in cold weather.

Not only that but it actually gave better mpg. It does what advertizes and there is a software where one can program air/fuel ratio and even torque and increase rpm.

some cars had the max speed reduced and the software would also unlock that.

I used to have one software to program a chip.

that said, i know it can be done and likely works as advertised.
