A whine between shifts. Hmmm, as above, take it to a dealer and have them run a little diag on it. The old G20's had a high clutch whistle between shifts that sounded like the tires chirping. Whining normally indicates lack of lubrication, imbalance or improper flow of fluids. Where was the car wrecked? Although it might have seemed fine, drivetrains can transmit forces everywhere in all types of collisions. The whoe purspose of a transmission, driveshaft, rearend, axles and wheels is to deliever the power the engine makes to the ground (we all know this, not trying to anoy or insult people), so in a wreck, those forces will be fed throughout the car via this same system. Also, if its durring every shift, and not just certain shifts, it indicates different areas of the transmission. It wont be any of the gears, as they are specific. There are numerous bulletins pretaining to valve bodies on all different models of nissan and infiniti vehicle. It might be as simple as having the valve body replaced and reprogrammed, but dont take that as your first course of action. Have it thoroughly diagnosed by someone you trust. Thanks!
