I have the G 35 Coupe 6 MT and have a very difficult time shifting smoothly. I have been driving various manual transmission cars for the last 14 years and never had such problem as I am experiencing with my G 35. Should I take it to the dealer and ask for an adjustment? I almost drive it as it is my first ever stick shift car.It is embarrassing.

Welcome to NICO Trojan. Here is a link to a discussion that was recently had regarding the same issue. It got a bit off topic and may not even really relate to what you are experiencing, but I feel that it is at least worth a read for you. http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....56472You may just want to take the car into the dealer and have them take a look at it. That may save you some time and aggravation.

It doesn't sound so much a cold shifting problem. There is a long thread on on http://www.my350z.com about 6mt tranny problems. Might want to put your feet up and give this a read: Post here only if you have had your tranny replaced.

I would have your Nissan Dealership look at it. There should be no reason why your G is not shifting correctly.

Actually, it is correct but disabled in the user control panel to minimize spam. Didn't realize the forum pm function has been disabled by admin though. Wassup?

PM has never been enabled for anyone. It is to encourage questions to be brought up on board for everyone to read instead of seeking someone out specifically and getting the info, so that everyone can get the info if needed.

What's going on with your car Trojan? Did you take it to the dealer yet?

I took it to the dealer and they said there is nothing wrong with it.They also said it is a high performance clutch and I just have to learn how to drive it. I guess they are right. I got used to it somewhat but have to work and still think about it when I shift. I guess I will get better with time. I have driven 1300 miles so far.

Yeah, just take your time with it. They are pretty stiff shifters. I'm glad to hear that there isn't problem with the car though.
