The battery that Interstate calls for a replacement in the 03 M45 pn:MT34R (700CCA/875CA) is incorrect.

If you use their web site to look for a battery and the MT34R is suggested, you should know that the terminals are opposite.

How much does an OEM battery cost for the 06' & up M35/ M45's?I kind of like the clear type view to see if it is low on battery fluid.

Shows to be the MT-25 Mega-Tron 75 month 550 CCA listed at $94.95-113.95

IMHO that's a pretty weak battery especially if you have lots of "electrical" options.

Can't beat the warranty though.

Are you talking about the factory battery? If so, it's not weak, it is what is necessary to operate the car in the correct manner. High cranking amp batteries are not needed to turn these engines over.I would never opt to a higher amp battery unless I added equipment that will place more of a load on the system than it was originally designed to handle.

Finding the OEM battery from Nissan/Infiniti will get expensive.

I wonder who manufactures the Infiniti battery. Everything I have read states they last 7 days past the warranty....

They seem to crap out WITH warning though, as mine did yesterday. Slow cranking the day before and then death.

I had to do a little creative wire re-routing, but I got the Interstate in and it works just fine.

For those of you who's Infiniti vehicle is still under the original factory warranty might find this useful or useless. Take it how you want.This is noted in the Infiniti Owners Manual under Battery Coverage:

ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT BATTERY COVERAGEThe coverage period is 48 months or 60,000 miles,whichever comes first. A defective original equipmentbattery which is unserviceable within the first 12months and 60,000 miles will be replaced free ofcharge. After 12 months but within 24 months and60,000 miles, you will pay 25% of the replacementbattery’s suggested retail price plus applicable taxes.After 24 months but within 36 months and 60,000miles, you will pay 50% of the replacement battery’ssuggested retail price plus applicable taxes. After 36months but within 48 months and 60,000 miles, youwill pay 75% of the replacement battery’s suggestedretail price plus applicable taxes. Nissan will pay therest, including all labor to remove and replace thedefective battery.

Yes there was warning. My car had the same symptoms before the battery died a few months ago. I got the Duralast Gold from Autozone which has been highly rated by XConsumer reports. It has more CCA's then the OEM battery and an 8 year limited 4 year replacement warranty.
