I have old skool unstable hybrid/tophat brackets and using the stock s14 xmember and a 62-1/t3 turbo. There is no way the turbo will fit. Even without the compressor cover it will not fit. Aside from that, the turbine housing hits the steering shaft. OH well, back to the trusty old SSA manifold..

It's for sale BTW check the RB F/S thread

High mount. It took some modifying but it works good.

Ream out the stud holes, changed the position of the collector and changed WG flange.

I can't comment on the WG position. I had the new flange placed perpendicular to the head flange. Bad idea, it placed the WG against the steering shaft. I believe if I didn't change the angle it would have cleared.

I recommend having the head flange cut in half and have it milled to flat.

cool.. if i end up keeping the manifold i'll definitely ream the holes out and deck the flanges. thinking about slotting reliefs into the flange too, or maybe cutting it in half like you said.

why did you change the collector position? did it put the turbo in a bad spot clearance-wise?

Looks like a Greddy IM with a schweet pain job. Sucks about the poor fitment dude. You know you REALLY want to put your penny down and go full stainless, equal length runners for the exhaust mani

Yup not going to happen. I guess I should have stated that in my project updates thread with my HKS manifold. Mine was a R33 X member and mounts. It would barely clear my GT35r----with an E housing. It would still rub a little bit on my mount as well.

I guess it fits better with Rb20 mounts.

The 5bolt housing hits the valve covers, might be okay with a non internal W/G.

Sorry to disappoint it's just a powder coated greddy

I've had too much down time this year, let alone the 4 years I've had the car. I may just stick with the SSA or go with the stock manifold and maybe later on go with a custom equal length.

True it's large, but it does a good job of keeping the engine bay cool. I've never seen the temps over 185...

Yep it sucks. And to think I have a 62-1 with a S housing..
