got up this morning and battery was dead as a door nail. First sign of it. Jumped off did okay , ran it for a test run and cranked right up. Sat at work for a few hrs no problem. Dropped by a buddies house and after 15 minute sitting barely cranked. I then noticed my brake lights were on when I was not in the truck. yesterday found a black button sized piece of plastic on the floor of drivers side and had no idea where it came from, now I know. it pops into the top of the brake pedal arm and engages the stop light switch, it broke and fell out, hence brake lights on. The hole it fits into allows the brake light switch to stay OUT right in the hole. Got it rigged for now but will order the little plastic bugger. Just a heads up, I had similar problem on older mazda, parking light switch went out and the parking lights would come on anytime they felt like it and kill a battery. Just thought I would share that this part can break and kill a battery. Damn 19 yr old plastic just breaks, cheap s*** LOL

I used one of those plastic "push pins" they use to hold door panels or other trim pieces on. Had one that fit well enough.
