The dealer said Infiniti would start the marketing campaign for the FX45 in February.

I saw a television ad for an FX45 for the first time on Monday night on The Practice.

It was a bit too "touchy feely" for my taste. It featured a guy furiously scrambling to construct a "Missing You Already" message for his significant other, who it turns out had just left on a train.

He caught up with the train in his Berrylium FX45 flying a flag with the last word of the message.

A few shots of the nav system, and a brief voice over that mentions the high performance engine is about all you get of the features.

I like the Berrylium - the dealer said it won't be available in showrooms for a month or so.

Has anyone else seen any print or broadcast ads?

Rick

Nope - Infiniti's advertising department SUCKS. And it has for 13 years.

Hear that, Infiniti HQ? Yeah, I said it - Fire those basturds - Let a NICO member run that department for a year and see what happens to sales! I'll replace your advertising director for 1/2 his salary and a cut of the increase in profits.

Infiniti's the only company I know of that hypes the hell out of their low-end car (G35) and leaves the rest of the model lineup out in the cold. That's just stupid. You hype the upper end to get people in the dealership - Then you sell them what they can afford.

I have NEVER seen an ad for the M or the FX, or even the I35, for that matter. Only seen one commercial for the Q, and it's BORING. The M lends itself to some GREAT commercial possibilities - But where are they? How stupid is that?

Take a lesson from Nissan - Their advertising kicks a$$. I can't COUNT the # of cool Nissan ads I've seen in the past 2 years.

Grrr.

I seen a FX commercial on lunch today. It's about people sacrificing storage space for speed and performance. One example was a guy's GF had to leave a stuffed animal at an amusement park because it wouldn't fit on his motorcycle. In the end the fit some gargoyle or something in the back of the FX then hauls arse outta there.

AZ, I agree completely and I've said the same thing before. I've never seen a Q45 commercial but once or twice and it's their damn flagship!!! I've seen some G35 ads but for the sedan ONLY, never once for the coupe! Never the M, or the I35 and the Qx4 (that I actually was unaware they were still making until recently)

Currently Mazda is kickin everyone's *** with all the Zoom Zoom stuff. Every channel I turn on it's Zoom Zoon Zoom. And the commercial for the 6 doing the big 6 in the desert is just plain cool.

I agree. The new FX commericial isn't even on their website.

Send an email here and tell them to add the commercials: [email protected]

The have a ton of Q45 commercials but NEVER PLAY THEM. Right now, they only show the "anthem" commerical for the Q, which makes no sense.

Check these others out that they NEED to add.

These 1st three commericals below are some of the best commericals I've ever seen.

"Power of speech" 2.5mbhttp://www.toyotaoffroad.net/jnburtman/power_of_speech.mov

"Rear View" 2.5mbhttp://www.toyotaoffroad.net/jnburtman/rear_view_2mb.mov

"Speed Effect" 2.5mbhttp://www.toyotaoffroad.net/jnburtman/speed_effect.mov

The best one I've seen was here on NICO - The "short-film" of the M45.

That one HAS to be put on tv.

I'm gonna write a detailed email to the webmaster and ask him to forward it to Infiniti's ad department. I'm gonna add a link to our site and this thread. So there. :D

Did you guys know that the Mazda "zoom-zoom" song was lifted from an old Brazilian Capoeira song?

"Zoom zoom zoom, capoeira bata um!"

In the foto the guys are performing the martial art known as Capoeira. In the background you can see the instrument known as the berimbau, it looks like a curved bamboo staff. A wire is stretched the length of the staff and is struck with a small rod to make music which helps maintain the rhythm and tone of the fight.

The berimbau also provides music for the various songs that go hand in hand with the art and hand in hand with Mazdas advertising.

Just a little jewel for you.

Don't ask me where they found that big earred Curious George looking kid that says "zoom zoom"!
