I have a new to me 2003 Infiniti FX45. Love the power and handling of the FX45, it has been well maintained. My wife wonders if there is supposed to be some sort of mechanism in the door, that stops it from slamming on a person exiting the car. Most cars kinda of catch a different intervals to keep from crushing a leg or shoulder. Any such thing?

#2 leg room is very tight, does the back seat move back at all?

TIA

Does the owner's manual say anything about the rear seats? I thought the rear was quite cozy when I looked at one, but I knew it was made off a "for-cars" platform, shared by even the 350z.
I also recall a review saying it was one of the few SUVs that offered multiple-stage reclining rear seats. No mention of a sliding seat cushion.

For the doors, there might be something to help in this video, although it's for a sedan that I'm more familiar with.
