As long as you mean 2003 and 2004 M45 and not the later-gen M's ... the offset of the FX 20" wheel is wrong for those!ProvidenceLeaf wrote:I know that the FX45 20"wheels will fit nicely on our cars.
Looks good. What size tires do you have on those? Someone up top mentioned 245/35, but that is the factory 18" size. I can't imagine the 20" tires would be the same...conley_jb wrote:My website with the car stuff is done right now, but here are a few pictures of my Green M45 with FX 20's. You may find other stuff listed under my other screen name "Quart" on the other M45 forums.

Correct ... for the 2003/2004 M45 rim, the OEM size is indeed 235/45-18. However, I use the 245/45-18 for the much better availability of tires, since 235/45-18 is somewhat unusual. The speedo error is nominal.auditech10 wrote:NO, people use 245/45-18 but that is still not even the OEM size, 235/45-18 is.
Most tire size calculators are approximate ... you need the accurate rolling (loaded) revs/mile data that manufacturers provide (and are available at Tire Rack in many cases) that allow for better accuracy. Again, see my spreadsheets in the Basic Specs sticky for more information!auditech10 wrote:Just look for a tire size calculator online and you will see.
''I may be wrong since I bought my car used. But the stock 18's I had where 235/45/18's. The 245/35/20's are much lower profile, but not so much that the difference in the stock wheel height and the new wheel aren't but .3 inchs different. 20's are actually taller by just over 1/4 inch.ProvidenceLeaf wrote:
