Good afternoon,

I am a newbie here at Nico, and just got into a new to me 2007 FX35.
It has 81,000 miles, and I noticed that on cold start up in the morning, it idles to around 2,000 RPM.

My question is this...is this a normal thing for these engines?
If so...do I wait for it it idle down before driving it?
I tried searching, but found nothing.

Thanks so much for the help...I truly appreciate it. :dblthumb:

Welcome to NICO Club!

2k seems a little high for a warm up idle. There are a couple of things that might help. I believe there is a throttle pedal relearn procedure and there is an idle relearn procedure. Look at the FSM, EC chapter, page 83 for instruction. I see there are three 'relearns' to perform and I recommend trying to perform all three, in order.

The EC chapter: http://www.nicoclub.com/service-manual? ... FX45-35/ec

The FSM (Factory Service Manual) links to each chapter:

Thank you SO very much! It seemed a bit high, so thats why I asked.
I really appreciate the quick response. I think I am really gonna like it here!
