FX35 DVD Player not working and DVD stuck inside

I have an FX35 with the DVD player option. The DVD player will not play or eject the DVD that is inside. It stays on for a few seconds and then turns itself off. It does not have the little hole that some some CD/DVD players have to open the tray.

This happens even if I use the AUX jacks on the front of the player.

Anybody know how to get the DVD out and/or replace the entire unit? It is mounted on the back of the center console near the floorboard.

I am currently having the same problem with my 2003 fx35, I have spoken with the dealership today but they informed me that they must have my extended warranty info before ordering me another, I contacted an online mechanic before calling the dealership and he told me to disconnect the battery and see if the dvd player would eject after I reconnected it, he said that this works sometimes but if not I was probably looking at another dvd player, hope this helps.
