FX Rims & Tires on an EX

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hello everyone. I'm new here.

Just a quick question.

Would the wheels and tires off an FX35 fit on an EX ? I just purchased a new 2010 EX and hate the way the stock 17 inch wheels look on it. I've seen some nice wheels on the EX but was kinda looking for an OEM type look on it.

Anyone tried it or have pics if they do fit ?

Thanks for any help on this.

Welcome to the Forum...

Me personally, looks-wise... I would NOT want my EX to have FX Rims on it.

So are you wanting to upgrade to factory FX 18's... or 20's ?

18's aren't much of a step-up from 17's...

EX35 17's = 17" x 7.5", 45mm Offset
EX35 18's = 18" x 8", 47mm Offset
Bolt Pattern = 5 x 114.3mm

Assuming you'd want to go up to a 20...

FX35 20's = 20" x 8", 40mm Offset.
Bolt Pattern = 5 x 114.3mm

Then what you'd have to do is, find a comparable size of 20 inch Tire so that your Speedo isn't out of whack.

Lots of guys feel the way you do about the 17's >>> post4611797.html but this guy wanted to upgrade to 19's.

Thanx,
I'm looking at 20" rims and tires.

I know there is a diameter calculator for tires sizes somewhere on the net. Think I'll look for that and see what the closes wheel size would be for the stock 17" tires on the EX.

Again, thanx for the info

Go to Discount Tire site and plug in different size rims/tires.

Have you thought about 19" wheels? The accessory 19s for a G37 can fit the EX. 245/45R19 would be the tire size, and you wouldn't compromise too much ride quality. The wheels sell for $2200 a set and include the lug nuts, which are quite expensive by themselves.

Yea, its a bit pricey, but its OEM quality and fit. Plus, the wheel finish and build are superior to anything aftermarket that doesn't cost as much.
People have done it though. When 2200 is just half your paycheck, you tend not to care as much...

Jejejeje, I was thinking somewhere on down the line as 'Used' :D

Not for now anyway. I'm just concentrating on enjoying it for now.

Coming off an '08 G37 Coupe 6 speed, an automatic transmission is such a welcomed thing.
