HI, I wonder if anyone knows if there is a transmission that will fit for my fwd ka24e that I want to use for rwd set up.
Have a 71 datsun 521 pick up I want it in. Have a good motor ka24e(fwd) but I havent found a solution for the transmission yet.
I know the block is different for the fwd and rwd, looks like maybe transmission for ca18det or sr could fit but probably not just straight bolt on?
Myabe the wrong forum for this, but hope to find anyone who knows here. :)

I cant find any information to substantiate the claim but the myth is the ka ff and fr have different bolt patterns. more importantly the intake manifold and distributor are pointing the wrong direction, they will both end up facing the firewall.

Hi, about the intake and distributor, that I have a solution for. And the bolt pattern is for sure different to a RWD ka24e, but my FWD ka24e looks like the same bolt pattern as a ca18det, I just wondered if anybody knew for sure. If not I am gonna test it before I get to look for another motor to put in. :)
