I have been doing a fair amount of checking with little luck on this. I have a problem with my IAC valve on my S13 RWD engine and i wanted to know if anyone out there has tried this or not. I wanted to know if the FWD SR engines turboed and N/A have the same IAC valve. IAC stands for (Idle Air Control) for those of you who dont know.I work at a nissan dealership and have access to the parts department parts lookup equipment but the pics are less than perfect to get a good idea. I am sure the housing are going to be very close but i am not sure about the electronics. The nice thing is the electronics are removable and if the housings are off but the electronics are the same i can make a good IAC that will work simply by swapping the electronics to the older housing. So if anyone has some info on this kindly let me know. CAR IS RUNNING LIKE TOTAL CRAP RIGHT NOW!

Thanx

Mark

generally speaking if you take the iacv off and clean it real good you wont need another one.

Yeah I'm fairly certain there's no US replacement for the IACV. You can probably get one cheap from someone like Marco or Venus.

I think Mark has tried like 3 times to clean it with ill results.....seems like once these things go its done for.

spraying carb cleaner down the big tube or in the wee hole arent going to cut it. you have to take it off the manifold, take the iacv all the way apart, clean all the individual bits, and then put it all back together and reinstall it.

been there done that...just spraying carb cleaner wont do diddly, not that i have done that but trust me i KNOW better. the entire thing has been pulled apart and completely cleaned . both of the plungers , the springs, the casing...the whole nine.
