Can anyone give me appropriate wheel offsets for FWD and RWD? Mainly RWD

it depends on the car. Honda has high offsets, Toyota doesn't know what they are doing, and Nissan depends on the model type...more information needed.

stock wheels are 6 inches wide, and have a 40mm offset i believe.

you should try to get offsets in the 10-25mm range

well depends again on the suspension that you are running. if you are running coilovers then you need some more offset. i have 17x7.5 G35c +30 rims w/coils in the front and they are nearly touching...and i a mean like 1mm or maybe 2mm of space there. a +20 upfront would more than likely be the ticket. while in the rear i can run 9.5" with +15 add some camber and it will be good.

what kinda rims you looking at? that would be a better assement. anything with +40 and not stock rims is gay.
