I tried McMaster-Carr, but all they seem to have is american sized. On the phone, the lady said she had only 1.5 thread instead of 1.25 thread. Is there any nissan i can steal some headstuds from that will work? the KA studs seem to work well, but seem just a bit short.

If anyone has a McMaster-Carr part number, I'll give them a try again, but right now, I seem to have no options.

Phase 2 sells them for like 16 bucks a stud. Which is ridiculously expensive imo but they have them special made from ARP and when small quantities are made its hard to get them for a decent price. Do you happen to know the thread size, length, and pitch? I have a bolt guy that I am able to get all sorts of bolts and ish from and I am sure if they are made he can find them. If I had those I might be able to help you out and order a few for myself while I am at it. Shoot this guy got me some odd sized grade 12s for my driveshaft that I could only get from the factory and I got them half the cost and also did not have to buy in bulk.~ANDREW~

we only broke 3, and I don't need to upgrade to ARP studs.

The size IIRC from another thread is 50mm long and the stud is a 10mmx1.25

Also, the 300zx studs we have are a hair short. The nut was perfectly flush with the end of the stud, and I'd prefer to be on the safe side by having a few threads extra length. I'm considering moving some of the studs and filling the holes with bolts.

I found some partially threaded bolts that I had lying around from a honda, then I cut them to length and threaded the other end to make studs. It's kind of a pain though because the cut end has to be straight in order to thread into the die straight

If you have an Inland Truck Parts in your town they can make you any size you need as long as they have the right tap/die. Any machine shop should be able to take some barstock and thread it for you.

I am going to a local industrial supply house in my area tomorrow to try and order some replacement exhaust manifold studs for my RB25. Usually if these guys don't have it, they can get it. If I can get them at a decent price I will definetely let you all know and I'm sure I can order a large quantity of them.

How did you all get the broken studs out? The RB I just got has 3 studs already broken inside of the head. Just use a reverse threaded bit?

That will work, Ez out can work. No matter which you use, be very very carefull! The problem with taking them out seems to be that the first couple of threads get damaged when the studs are bottomed out. Therefore when you are removing them, you have to work through all of that mess.
