I was just wondering what some people were planning on doing with their altimas in the time to come.

I myself, in the near future, am not going to be doing a whole lot to the car. I was thinking about a crank pulley and fuel pump pretty soon. But eventually I would like to have the bottom completely built from the crank bein knived and balanced to balancing out the engine and I would also like to get some crower billet rods with some 8.5:1 comp pistons. Then a T3/T4 turbo with all the goodies for the head and cooling systems. I just want to run 12lbs of boost and have about 300 whp w/ 300ftlbs of torque.

so what do you have left for the stage 3 build up?

what are you doing in the stage 3 build up, as opposed to the stage 1?

Just got back from Iraq (military) threw some enkie rs7's on it with some hankook 245/40's i can notice that the handling improved, im taking corners faster. got some 5% tint "riding clean" and Replaced my blown subs with some Power Acoustic FUBR 12", replaced the factory 6 1/2's with pioneers and a new short ram filter.

A plan to get some suspension followed by a drift body kit then painted jet black i think i could get all this done by march, if i get a second job at wallmart or something and E-4 pay. And if i don't go down to the Virgin Islands maybe a carbon fiber hood. by march.

just installed the Injen CAI on the Altima. The car's a beast now. The power and acceleration gains are very noticeable plus the sound is killer.

I'm sure this is a really stupid question, but I have a 2003 Altima 3.5L SE, which is stock so far although it does have all the options and packages Nissan offers, and I'm planning on doing a few performance enhancing mods on it. Does anyone know of a way to put a turbo in it? It seems to me that it would be rather hard if not impossible, because everything from throttle to valve timing to compression ratio is controlled by the computer, and if you added a turbo it would probably really throw the computer for a loop. I suppose if someone could figure out how to reprogram it to account for the turbo it would work. Has anyone heard of any reprograming or performance modules for the latest generation of Altimas? It seems like performance modifications are so far limited to intake and exhaust systems and maybe a few pulleys.

Oh and Bonzo, what kind of sound does the Injen CAI give off? I'm considering a CAI and am trying to figure out what would sound the best.

The Injen CAI will make your car, under acceleration, sound like an F1 car for sure. It should be your first mod in my onpinion. I accelerate and everyone looks at me, like is that a freaking altima?

I haven't heard of any turbo kits for our altys or of anyone doing it, however there have been talks of supercharger.

Theres headers, downpipe, CAI, Jet ecu upgrade, exhaust, that stuff alone will make your alty fast as hell.

I'm gonna leave it alone for the next few years while my wife drives it. By then my son will be driving the B13 and the truck will be paid for, so I'll by Mrs. Cobb another car and I'll inherit the Altima. Then... I/H/E, SE-R brakes, some lowering springs, etc...
