Hey im new to the forum and had kind of a odd question. I have a 1972 triumph Spitfire and im trying to put a SR20DET red top in it. i have the engine mounts and transmission mounts done all thats left is the wiring pretty much. I have the easy stuff figured out such as the computer relay, the fuel pump relay, and the ignition switch and gauge wiring. My question envolves the fusebox. The harness i got with the engine is cut from right underneath the fusebox so im not quite sure where 12 volt is suppose to go in. If someone can tell me the colors of the 12 volt wires and the color of wires for the ignition coils that would be amazing. Any help to get this 1700 pound,sr20 powered car on the road would be appericated!!!!!!!!!! thanks

Your sarcasm is only matched and exceded by my own.

The US and the Japanese have identical power distribution systems. However, the engine harness does not connect directly to the fuse block. There are differences between the US and the JDM engine harnesses, but not much. Primarily the addition of the ignitor chip.

As far as the coils go. Leading into the ignitor chip is a 5 wire plug with the wires Red, Red/Green, Red/White, Red/Blue, Black(ground).

This gets confusing as the wires leading out are of identical colors, but it's only a 4 wire plug.

Red/Blue = cylinder one (it turns into a black wire at the ignitor pack subharness)Red/White = #2Red = #3 (I've seen this as a red/yellow as well, but it's been too long since I've wired in ignitors for me to remember which one is accurate)Red/Green = #4

Main ignition power is a thick Black/Red wire. YOu can't miss it as you can trace it from the chassis harness plug (big grey and brown plugs near the fusebox) all the way to the ECU.

This link has a good chart for helping you figure out what wire does what in getting the motor started.

I have a wiring chart and diagram for S13s with an ignitor chip (it's from a CA, but you can still use it to figure out
