Hi all,

Today I replaced the bulb to what I believe is the running light on my versa sedan. That is, the light that is just above the headlight on the passenger side. After I replaced it with a fresh bulb, I was upset to see that it wasn't illuminated. So running through my head as to what the next variable in problem shooting would be, I thought well then it has to be the fuse, and there in lies my problem:

What is the fuse to that light? The owners manual doesn't clearly state what it is. I don't even know which fuse box it is, since there is one under the hood of the car, and one inside the car also.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

John

Do you mean the parking light? That only comes on, well, when you turn on your parking lights. The Versas running lights are the headlights at half power. US spec doesn't have running lights. I assume you've tried turning on your headlights too though.

I assume you mean "running light" as in the orange bulb above the headlight, not the Canadian version Versa with DayTime Running Lights. Both sides (and rear taillamps) are controlled through the same 10A fuse in the USM box. If you look on the driver's side of the engine bay, there is a black cover to the rear of the headlight. Pop that box with all the wires going into it off the white piece that holds it. On the backside are the fuses. If the fuse is out, then all should not work. If it's just the left, then it's something with the bulb socket, bulb, or the wires from the fuse to the bulb socket.

I think the first bulb in the package was a dud because I tried the second one, and wala it works!

Very insightful, Thanks for your help!!
