Does anybody know which fuse to replace if the preset seat panel is not working?

Sounds more like the module is blown if the column isn't working as well.

i also have this problem in a 2002 Q45. the seat and steering column are fully operational through the switches. when i insert the key in the ignition the seat does not move forward. when i turn the car off and remove the key the seat does not move back.

could this also be caused by the module? where would it be located?

In the '02 Q45, seat and steering wheel auto motions can be turned off in the settings menu.

Also, even with this feature turned on, if you move the seat before inserting the key, the feature will cancel assuming a new driver has gotten behind the wheel. This prevents smashed knees when the valet parks the car for my 4'10" wife.

i have found one of the 40amp pink fuses under the hood will kill the entire seat/wheel system.

also, a couple of the fuses under the dash control the wheel axes. i lost up/down when i was trimming down my dash harness, found a blown 7.5 in the second row (IIRC)
