I had jsut recently purchased a 89 240sx with a 97 ka24 engine swap, and i had noticed that the car kept shutting off, or stalling un-noticeably. It would not start up again, i checked the fuse box in my engine bay, and the fuel pump fuse was melted in there. SO i dug all the leftovers out, and replaced, it started up perfectly. Now ive had to change that fuse twice, and the last time, it melted again. I am saving up to get fluid for my PCV valve replacement because the idle is weird. If any of you could help me out, or stop by and check it out, I live in orange county, CA. it would be greatly appreciated. THanks again.

you have an intermitten wiring problem or a intermitten high draw from the fuel pump. try wiggling the wiring harness in different places along the way to the fuel pump. have someone else watch for the fuse to blow while you do this. if the fuse blows you'll know about where the problem is and can dig into the harness to repair it. this usually occurs when an aftermarket device such as speakers or amps get installed and bolted down on harnesses.
