I tryed to install my radar thru the rear mirror and forgot to turn off the ignition, a spark occurred. Now I have no fuel reading, tach reading, compass reading, my key phob light is on and I cant put the car in drive. I can raise my garage door with the mirror, and the car starts fine but will not go into drive. I'm currently checking every fuse with no such luck. any ideas?

Mission accomplished! It was just one blown 10A fuse, labeled "elec parts" in the cabin fuse box. The fuse is tiny and the dark color makes it hard to see that the fuse was open and needed to be replaced.

Whew! Describing all those symptoms didn't sound too good.

Trust me, It did't feel so good either. I can't believe that 1 little 10A fuse is linked to all that stuff.

What I can't believe is that you didn't disconnect the negative terminal on the battery before you did electrical work.

Hey, he said he forgot. Give the fellow a break. He might be older and demented like me. Hell, I forget where I park the damn thing half the time. Thanx goodness for putting the key fob pointed upright right under my chin right into the bottom skin between my chin and mouth, w/my mouth wide open, pressing the alarm button. Where ever my machine is I find it..!

How's that for going off topic? Yeah, respect your elders!

antzrus, thanks for looking out, but I don't wear my feelings on my sleeve and don't mind the criticism. If I didn't like criticism or strong opinions from time to time, then I wouldn't post! Right? Manok is right, I'm a lucky Idiot!
