fuse problem. radio,clock,belts,interior lights wontwork

ok, so i was replacing my dash one day and the fuse on the second colum , third from the top a red 10A fuse blew, which caused my radio, seatbelts not to retract when the ignition is not on, my chime, my clock in the cluster and interior dome and feet lights to all not work.

I replaced this fuse now, but my problem still exists. All the fuses in the kickpanel turn out good except the second column 2nd from the bottom which is a 15A fuse. The fuse is good, but i get no current from either ends of it.

I checked all fuses under the hood and they're all good.

Any help is greatly appreciated. thanks.

i have a weird prob too... when i shut my car off, and turn it on again my radio resets. ****ty eh?

I've got electric problems too here, the tail-light fuse keeps on blowing.. Still haven't figured it out, but I refuse to take it to the dealership.. They sabotage cars there..

check your alt fuse. it's in the fuse box next to the battery, and has a little window to check the fuse, mine just blew and all the same stuff you described doesn't work now.

i tried to replace the fuse but when i put the new 14 dollar fuse in it sparked blue and popped again

checked it, it's good. This is sooo annoying.

I've had this problem with my other s13, and all i had to do was preplace the fuse on the 2nd row 3rd from top and everything worked again. I guess maybe i shorted something out or something on this one.

sounds like the IOD fuse is bad, i dont know where they are on the S13 but i think on the S14 its under the hood in the upper right corner its a 100amp fuse. IOD is Ignition On Direct (or something like that). Its put in there so when the vehicle is being shipped or transported you can start the vehicle but without the key on the battery is basically disconnected.

hmm, i'll look into that.

i had to replace the battery today since i had the ignition on and fal fans running , trying to test where the electrical problem is coming from. i guess those things drain juice pretty good.

well anyway, now with the car on, if i turn on either of my map lights , my door ajar light comes on in the cluster. also if i try to turn on my radio, it'll turn on for a split second then go off immediately.
