Fuse Box/Harness that leads into the car....needs help

i have a 93 vert that is going to be a full shell race/drift car. what i want to know is, can i run the car on only the engine harness or do i have to have that fuse box thats in the engine bay?

Its a fuse/relay box. I think im missing something. how would it be possible to run a car without power?
