Fuse blowing

Ok. My dome light randomly turned off earlier, and it actually blew a fuse. So, I put another in. Blown. This is the number 18 fuse in my fuse box (under dash) and says "Room Lamp." Well, it apparently goes to my dome light, courtesy lights, radio turn on, and trunk lamp. Also, I have the "Door Open" warning indicator glowing on my dash. WTF? I didn't do anything at that moment that would cause a short. But, I obviously have one. Happen to anyone before?

You probibly have a short somewhere in the system--- ie something happened such as a wire grounded out to the body or you could have the wrong fuse in it--

You do have everything wired correctly because if you dont and there is too much power going to one place it will short out. Then again there is the possibility of being under powered. Check and see everything is wired correctly in the manual and be sure nothing is overheating. If a something went then most likely it is going through something else to that fuse and is shorting or overheating.

Blowing this fuse is usually caused by grounding out the power or illumination wire in the stereo. Seen it happen a thousand times. Go have a look at your wiring back there and make sure it's all straight.

I agree, I've seen a lot of people not tape the end of the illumination wire and it will ground out on things on occasion.
