this is funny someone i know says that she will "SMOOOOOKKEE" me in her 1992 toyota celica, this is the 1.6L 103hp and 102 ft.-lbs (i drive a 95 240sx 5speed) i cant wait to race her and shut her up i tell her that im going to beat her by about 7 trains but she laughs oh yea its automatic and completely stock, she also says that she "SMOOOOKES" integra gsr's, say whatever you people want to say about her in this post because i told her i was going to show her this after alot of people post their opinons

haha i took out a five speed version and i am slow. Celicas have something wrong with them i think. Automatics that arnt built are always slow on 4 cyl and will almost always loose to 5 speeds. I know i am a auto.

hahaha, you just have to love stupid people sometimes, its alot of fun talking trash to them when you know you will win. i had that happen to me one time when this kid i worked with got a 2000 neon, auto, 130hp and he said he would beat my thunderbird sc in a race. he said pretty much what that girl said, he would smoke me and the funny thing is he was dead serious, people don't have common sense. that was when his car was stock now he has a huge metal spoiler, some rimes, a 4 inch tip (oops i mean an exhaust ) and ugly red decals all over the car. never did race him though...oh well i don't really street race anyway ... let us know how the big race goes..

Reminds me of the civic driver that was catching flak on the c5 web sites. He shut them up when he waxed a C5 Vette with his civic.

Funny, i had a similar situation. Girl in a bone stock semi-new (sorry dont know years/gens on those cars) Celica was talkin all kinda trash about my Sr swap and Nissan in general.

Telling her to showup at Import War's dyno with $1000 cash had her shutting up real quick.

yeah, i have a 97 celica st and a 1992 240sx le. both auto, one turbo.:ylsuper

the 92 celica WILL lose, unless it has an engine swap, turbo or a 75 shot.

when my celica was stock(105hp, 117tq 2500lbs with driver) it would always get the jump on the 240. untill about 40mph tho, then the 240 would fly by. the 5th gen celicas are heavier than the 6th gens(the one i have) and the 5th gen ST has a smaller engine with a smaller powerband than the 6th gen st.

and boo to anyone who talks s*** about nissan or toyota. i love both companies and both are great at making performance engines/cars
