funny story of a civic !!!

I was talking to a guy over the weekend. he owns a 90 model civic he saids he has a spoon engine in it. & he says he could beat me in a race ha ha .(I drive a 300zx)he says hes beat them before. but lost to a stock prelude.what a dork. anyway he went home sunday and on the way he got in a race. doning 130 mph on the freeway he loses control & hits the concreat devider in the road and survives.

but totals the car ha ha.I gess he won't be raceing me and looking at the back end of my car. I thought u guys would like that.

well its not that funny that he almost lost his life.. but what is funny is that talk is gay.. he could beat u.. spoon engine is a damn good engine and if its completle.. prob costs him 5g's.. is your car a TT or what?

yea i wouldnt mind a civic with a spoon engine, i think it would have a good chance in beating u. i dont mind civics as long as they dont have any APC in the engine or any other cheap products that have made influence over everyricer in the fast and the furious series

I am a big fan of Honda's. Ricers makr the look bad, not Honda. I hoping the CRX is released..saw a "concept" and it looked hot!!

Story still was not funny, but he probably did not have a true Spoon motor. They are completely unstreetable, illegal in every sense of the word, and built for race purposes only. They typically cost between $12-14K, depending on which motor you get (B16, B18C, etc)

haha.. i thought that was pretty funny. Same sort of thing happened to me, but more directly.

When I owned my 1.8t, some dude in a Chevy S-10 "extreme" with a monster tach. decided to cut me off on a dead empty road.At that point, all my car had was a chip. No suspension, no exhaust, no nothing... just a stock looking 4 door golf with a chip.

Needless to say I caught up and after we lined up, I burned him pretty bad. His girl was in his car ( as well as my girl in my car )... I don't know if he was embarassed or what, but he decided to make a rt turn from the left lane at the very last minute ( maybe because the light turned red and he didn't want to look over to see me laughing at him? )

He took the turn to fast, fishtailed, and his car ( which was about 1 inch off the ground ) completely jumped the median and sat there halfway on, halfway off, like a see saw.

Me and my gf just sat there not beleiving we just witnessed an accident, and for a second contemplated going over and helping him, but he got out himself and kicked his car.

Pretty damn funny.

BTW, people generally get what they deserve.

This story about the spoon engine honda is hilarious, because whether or not he actually had the mods, he definately had the attitude of a c0cky, idioitic driver. I'm willing to bet 100% he drove like an a.ss. all the time, and better him killing himself on a concrete median then dragging down some innocent person(s) with him. So yes, it is funny.

Street racing is not smart. The guy got what he deserved. He knew the danger of his actions. Not that I am above street racing and have never done it, but it is very stupid. I'd be scared to be in a civic at 130mph anyways. Hondas feel disconected to me. It's like I don't know, but I never feel completly comfortable in them.

Wuss your story was funny, but the first guys was not. Even if he got what was coming to him it still wasnt funny. We all love the ricer/honda stories, but not when it involves the person involved almost gets killed. Not cool at all. I wonder why yoda 69 hasnt posted? I think he should post at least something.

I dont think it was funny. I do think it serves him right. If you are gonna street race, at least do it safely. Nice deserted road.

Like a guy i know who had a nice civic. I hate them but his was nice. Had over $15,000 in mods in the car. Had his engine built for boost and was waiting for his turbo kit to come in. Wrapped it around a tree and spent a few weeks in the ICU down at Baptist Hospital. He is okay now, a few really funky scars on his head. He can't even remember the accident or alot of other things.

i hope you guys know, there is no such thing as a spoon engine for a a civic only a b series engine built with spoon parts, even then, i never seen anyone built a honda all motor that will go over 300 HP without the help of force induction.

As for that silly guy who almost died, he's so full of crap, I never seen a spoon motor lose to a stock prelude, why? because a fully built spoon motor can beat a stock SW20. That clown probably had only spoon cams and a spoon radiator cap or something, then claim he has a spoon engine. That guy had a good enough motor to race other hondas, but he lack driving skills.

Okay, let me rephrase. I still do think its funny, but not in the conventional defintion of "funny". I mean it more in a dark, ironic, type of "funny".

Example, " 143 animal rights activist get pummeled by a stampede of wild buffalo during protest" , if this was true, it would be unfortunate, but I think most people can't help to give a "dark" chuckle on the inside.

So as to this story with the Honda, I think it's good that he got what was coming to him. Like I said, better him killing himself, then him even just injuring an innocent person because of his stupidity.

Ok let's clear this up real quick. I never said one company was better than another. I never said I knew everything. In fact, I think all of the aformentioned companies are excellent engine builders. All I did say was that Spoon is QUOTE "possibly THE most respected Honda tuner". BTW, yes, I saw your Rex tach... quite nice :ylsuper
