funny sound??

i have 2 problems that i was wondering if some body could possibly give me a hint as to wut is cause ing these two sounds i am describing, any feed bakc would be help full thank you.

1.) a noise coming from the passanger side back wheel, the brake pads were just recently installed, they were installed properly, i believe maybe something else was installed incorrectly, sounds like a scratching sound of like metal on metal, it does it all the time no matter how your driving

2.) a noise coming from the engine when you shift, it sounds like the belts possibly, but i could be wrong, it is just a loud squeek as if u had just started up the car.

any advice would be appreciated, if u want more info to help me better evaluate the problem please don't hessitate to ask, thank you

Those are both pretty simple issues with simple things you can try to fix them. Check to see if a belt is loose. That takes about 25 seconds. If you are capable, take apart your brakes and put them back together right this time. If you aren't, then take it back to the (incompetent) individual who did them wrong in the first place and have it fixed.
