I picked up a trashed 93 Vert about 6 months ago and have just started to fix it back up. I'm in the process of putting a new top on, I've already done an S13 conversion on the front, and I've been trying to find a pair of coupe door locally so I can be rid of that damn center pillar. I managed to find a local yard that claimed to have 2 in really good condition for $100 each including door panels in good shape. I tell them to deliver them to the shop I work at and they agree since I do alot of business with them. Today I see the delivery truck pull up and I get all excited just thinking about not having to do a ton of cutting, I walk out to the truck, and there are 2 PERFECT, complete, red, CONVERTIBLE DOORS. I was so pissed because I've never seen a set of junkyard doors in such good shape, and these were exactly what I DIDN'T want. Even the door panels looked good.

They fortunately said they had another 240 at the yard and they are delivering non-vert doors to me tomorrow, but they have no door panels and I've been told they have "some dings." Knowing the yard had a vert now, I called up with a list of things I wanted, such as the boot, window switches, seals, etc. I was informed that the seals were torn, the boot missing, and the window switches broken. I may still try to swing out there one saturday and see if there anything I can use off of it thats vert specific.

HAHAHAHA, nice!

You should grab those good door panels & sell to someone who doesn't want to do the door conversion.

I'd love to but they won't remove them from the doors, they want to sell as a complete unit.

Coupe doors arrived today, they were red from the factory but someone put a cheap black paintjob on them. They have 4-5 dings per door, runs all over the place, and no door panels

assuming that they charged you the same for the coupe doors as the vert doorts, you should have kept hte vert doors and sold them on here (proably for more than you paid for them) and then bought some coupe/hatchback doors, which you could buy... honestly, anywhere.

it's really easy if the fenders are all ready gone. if not, it's just going to take a little more time. i'm just goint to assume that the fenders are not on.

if you want to save the wiring harness and connectors, unplug and pull those out from the car - not from the door as that would be time consuming. if you're reusing your stuff, just cut the harness.

at this point in time, if you can roll the windows down, you probably should. it's not necessary, but it makes things a lot easier and you don't have to worry as much about breaking the window.

proceed to pull the pin from the guide/stopper with some pliers/vicegrips. now there are two bolts each for both of the swingarms (for lack of a better term) (two upper and two lower). i believe the bolts are 14mm - if not they're 12. once the bolts are out, just give the door a jerk (up or down) or open the door all the way until the swingarms break loose.

that's it. with no fenders it should take you about 5 minutes per door.
