funny noise

everytime i shift doesnt matter to what gear i hear a funny noise. does anyone else have this problem?

What sort of funny noise? Is it grinding, a little thunk, or what?

could be a number of things, clutch not releasing completly could be one.

its like a clunking noise and its coming from the drives side

I do believe the transmission is on the driver's side (I know it is on B15s). That's just the changing of gears/re-engagement of the clutch unless it's very loud. If it's very loud it could be a clutch or CV joint problem.

Anyway, if you're worried about it just go to the dealer and have them listen to it since you're under warranty.

A small amount of mechanical noise coming from the actual gearbox when you are physically moving it around is pretty common. I think the gearbox is a little stiff too, and that doesn't help it. Luckily I love throwing the stick with authority anyway.

I've never heard any noise coming from mine that I can't feel myself doing while shifting though, so if it's coming from behind / beneath the dash, I would bring it in...at least you're under warranty still.
