funny noise

on the last day of skool i was doing donuts and was bouncing off the rev limit. now when i get on the gas it sound like my bros carbed truck. wat could be causing that? first i thought it was the exhaust was loose but cant be. could the headgasket be blown. it not overheating or smoking white. lmk thanks

Can you specifie the sound a little bit more? Is it like a loud knocking noise, or just a really loud exhaust noise?

i sounds like a really loud ticking and exhaust note at the same time. there no lost of power. i looked at my header and there was only two bolts holding it on. could i have blow out the exhaust gasket?

i know that after i went ot the track 2 weeks ago that i loosened my heat shield up and it was rattleing/ticking....look at that if its exhaust related

it doesnt make the noise when im off the throttle while its in gear. on the throttle and at idle it makes the noise.

Is the ticking coming from under your valve cover? How is your oil level?

it not coming for the valve cover and oil level is fine. i goin to change the exhaust gasket tomorrow and see if the noise goes away.

Well then... where is it coming from?

A small exhaust leak close to the head can certainly sound like ticking.

it sounds like it coming for the exhaust really close to the block. when i put bolts back on the exhaust manifold it move closer toward the block. can you blow out a exhaust gasket?

i think u can! i belw the gasket bewteen the header and cat converter...anything is possible....just pick one up and try it out they dont cost that much
