Today I put one of those cheapy cone filters on my s13 for the hell of it. Since there wasn't any place for the tube coming off the PAIR valve I just left it open to atmosphere. Now at idle there is a slight shake, kind of like when there is a small vacuum leak, It isn't terrible but I do notice it. My understanding of the PAIR valve is that it just puts a little more air in the exhaust at idle or when exhaust pressure is less than atmospheric. So it shouldn't affect my idle at all right? any insight would be appreciated
thanks!

Delete the whole pair valve, to my understanding you don't even need it to pass smog. All you need to do is unbolt that whole assembly, disconnect the hoses and that one electrical connector, and plug the downpipe/tube coming off of it depending on if you can get the tube off the downpipe. It should clean it right up. :dblthumb:
