umm I can actually believe 28lbs for track...my buddy pushes 24lbs in a 96 eclipes. I wouldn't believe it if i hadn't seen it while riding with him. Thats just daily driving too. Your friend though doesn't sound like he knows crap about cars so more then likely he is making it up. nice convo though. I know alot of people that are like that. OH and the new turbo Neon is a nice car. I got a friend here in town that is in the 8 second times at the 1/8th mile track with a new neon. He even kept up with my roommates 300ZX TT. They arent something to be takin lightly

a guy that owns a shop that has an 11 second honda drag car and a 7 or 8 second gran national drag car said a guy with a newer eclipse wanted a turbo upgrade so he ran his stock turbo at 18 psi until it died...can't imagine all that hot air was good for it though.

he was talkin about the regular old neons though, not the new turbo ones, lol, thats the sad part.

also, about the turbo talon kid, he said he spent 3500 on one turbo but he doesnt even know what brand it is (i just talked to him). he better have a T51R KAI on there, :rolleyes.

my engine builder runs up to 40lbs sometimes on his 4g63 and thats with a T72 turbo, thats more than 700whp.

so i can believe he is running 28psi if he is internally rebuilt, it may be a small turbo, hence him running so much boost, at t28 or 16g at that kind of boost will not be efficient and jsut blowing hot air... unless he is running a big turbo, then he may be making sick hp..

ok, maybe you have to know some of the kids he hangs with. these are the same kids who go to a dirt road to "drift" their escorts, s10s and neons. And one kid with an escort thinks he can drift because he has an "intake and exhaust" (he has actually said that he can drift because of the added power

All the little tools out in the midwest probably saw two drifting videos and want 240SXs and AE86s with mesh rims, and APC clears now.

I also have an intresting discussion involving a TurboXS UTEC ECU and fuel injectors if you guys want to read that too. But I doubt it.
