Fun day yesterday. A good friend of mine from Baltimore, who has a passion for old Audi's, purchased his 7th used Audi S6. I helped him pick it up and get it home without his wife's knowledge

This one was a non-running S6 that had been in storage for 3 years, Pretty clean. Very inexpensive with a lotta extras. This was located about an hour from my home in PA.

I already had my friend's S6 Avant in my driveway, so I loaded it up on my beavertail and picked him up in Philly. Drove to the home where the acquisition was, winched it onto the beavertail, then stopped at Holberts (VW/Porsche/Audi dealer) to finalize the deal with the seller (an Audi salesman). While there I checked a new $126K R8 and S5. (Nice). Then we ran the beast down to Maryland dropping it off at his friends VW/Audi performance shop near Aberdeen. Here are some pics.

Unloading the Avant...

Me tying down the new (old S6) while my friend warms up in his car...

On the Blue Route...

Overall a fun car day.

The Avant is his current daily driver. Very comfortable car, but he's keeping that one. I'm sure that blue sedan will go up for sale (well, minus the nice BBS wheels) once he gets it running. The reason I had the Avant was interesting. He and I had just done a driving school at Team O'Neill Rally school in northern NH in the Avant last weekend. (great fun). He then had to fly to California for some meetings, so I drove him to the airport and took the Avant back my house.

Yep. NGP. I didn't get a chance to check out their shop as I was unloading the car. Looked like a nice place.

I agree. Incredibly fun. I'll post pics as soon as I get 'em downloaded. Northern NH is gorgeous. The moutain top resort I stayed at was awesome. Great trip.

It is a pretty nice shop, great reputation. I had a MK IV 1.8t Jetta that they did some work on. WTF Bubba, you were literally 10 mins from me, Michele and Ryan and you couldn't stop by to say hello?

Sorry, I had no idea you were so close. I thought you lived down in the city. I'll look you up the next time I get down there.
