Some time ago I lamented the limited adjustability of the Coupe headrests (they adjust up & down, but not front & back) - making them more "restraints that prevent whiplash and thus lawsuits against Nisssan" than usable headrests for driving comfort.

SOLUTION - The M45 headrests go up & down, and front & back, AND slip right into the G35 Coupe seats (and may also fit the sedan). The shape of the headrests is a little different, but they easily adjust far enough forward to act as functional headrests.

I used part #86400-CS001 - and this matches the Graphite Interior.

Yayyy!

That's excellent news!

I thought maybe the Q's would fit but the M45 headrest are nice I hear.

Yeah, pics. How do they look? Do they match the interior material?

Yes, the upholstery matches perfectly. But my color interior is also offered in the M45, and I don't know if this is the case with all G35 interior colors/fabrics.

I have posted pictures of the upgrade at:http://www.ssegal.net/g35seats.html

Looks like a great match. The M45 headrest is just a little bigger I guess. Do they easily adjust forward and back? One last question, if you don't mind. How much did it run in price?

Thanks for the Info.

Ryan,

The headrest IS bigger - and positioned as you see it in the photo it is only maybe 1/2" off the rear stop (it moves way forward, but only back a little from the picture). It adjusts very easily forward/back - you just reach back and twist it either front or back.

It is also in the full "down" position - it has 3 detents (just like the G35 hr), so there are 3 higher positions.

I am 6'1", and when I first installed, it didn't seem to hit the back of my head in just the right spot - but now that I've been driving it for about a week, it seems fine (and it's still a lot better than a headrest that isn't).

List price is about $212; dealer cost is about $150.
