Ok, so my car has been plagued by really bad hesitation under full throttle from day 1. The closest thing I can equate it to would be timing getting pulled under boost. Boost builds fine, it's just the car feels slow as hell under boost.

Here's what I've checked:-all vacuum hoses are fine (replaced them ALL)-pressure tested all intake piping, no leaks-switched out fuel pump-new spark plugs (300zx tt plugs, gapped at .04)-new fuel filter (300zx tt filter)

Any ideas?

I'm running a walbro 255 if that makes a difference.

Try gapping plugs to stock spec which is at around .030-.032 ;)

That would explain why it got better when I put in the .04 gapped plugs and pulled out some .05 ones :-0 (must have been put in by the previous owner).

I also got some electronics cleaner and sprayed the hell out of my MAF...it was FILTHY!!!

It definitely helped somewhat, now i'm just getting spark blowout at about 5K rpm at WOT...that'll be solved by regapping though.

Overall the car feels much better after cleaning the MAF, but still not pulling as hard as other SR's i've ridden in at the same boost level. One thing I haven't done (i know this should be the 1st thing to do) is check my base timing. I'll probably do that tomorrow when I install my suspension.

I know...what can I say, I haven't had time yet :-x

Either way, cleaning the MAF helped out...well worth the $3 for the electrical cleaner. I'll check timing later on today when I do my suspension. Right now I've got to unpack all my stuff from moving back from New York.

Matt, you'd be lucky if even let you look at my car let alone work on it. And P.S. you car will never pull like mine.

Just wait until the GT25 goes on, then you can just sit back and cry as I kick your *** time and again :)
