Just read an article in the paper on the new Nissan Miss. plant where they will build the new Nissan full size pickup. Gosen spoke of plans to produce a full size Infiniti SUV in that plant. Maybe something to compete with the LX470?

Good article in NY Times today about how bad the emissions are on SUV and pickups.... hope the Mississippi plant makes trucks which will be the exception!

I've heard it'll be a big one... Infiniti showrooms have to remodeled so it can fit through the door.

$2+/gal fuel is becoming a reality . . . could lead to a decline for SUV's. Funny observation here in Austin last week. After the big "anti-war" protest on Congress Ave. (where the Texas Capitol is located) I watched the protestors leave, most of which climbed into their SUV's. Like their cousins the "limousine liberals"!

I also noticed all the violent "anti-war" protests. Anyone else see the contradiction here? Hard to support peace promoters throwing things at police and fire-bombing cars. :)

"Anti-war protester" is a double negative anyways. The correct term should be "war protester". They're protesting the war, not protesting the protest of the war.

Would that be like a "100K mi. Maintenance Free" American car? Or is it the "government intelligence" route?

Last May at our annual convention, it was mentioned that the new Infiniti full size SUV will be 22' long and 8.5' wide. They said it should be roughly the size of an Expedition (which boggles my mind why they would bring up a vehicle that was so big it sized it's way out of the market!). This will mark the first Infiniti ever bulit in the U.S.. They plan on releasing it in Spring 2004 roughly a year away.

Sounds more like an Excursion, which is being discontinued, much to the dismay of all Texas ranchers and soccer moms.
