Ok I'll be the one to take the initiative on this one. I just got off the phone with Full-Race and the guy said that they are definitely open to reducing the price for a group buy. However, he couldn't say how low the price would go for x number of buyers. So my goal is to go back to him with a solid number of the people who are SERIOUSLY interested in the manifolds and hash out a price from that.

I'm assuming we can get at least 5-10 people in for the right price. Please keep conversation out of this as the manifolds have already been discussed extensively in other threads.

I'm counting myself in for 1.

Need prices first, can't do it the other way around expecting people to join in.

prices will prolly come when we get some deticated buyers, then Full-Race will adjust the price according to the number of buyers.

I feel your pain and I have info from sources that say they probably won't even drop it below $2000 a piece.

The way I see it is: Do they want $10,000-15,000 in sales for a few manifolds or $0? Its not like we would turn around and sell them. $hit, this manifold is the end-all-be-all for me!

I'm down but for no more than $1200.

Insane the RB manifold costs $1000 more than the SR.

Blame it on the Supra owners. Hey if the 2jz people will pay $2500 for it why not the RB people? They're both inline 6 manifolds...

There is considerably more work that goes into an RB manifold....

Here's some pics for those who were interested

Hey Andy, I asked this question via e-mail to Full-Race, but did not receive a response. Does the #1 intake runner clear the stock A/C compressor and fittings?

What kind of merge collector are they using? 4-1, 5-1 or 6-1?

Note its a true twin scroll manifold. The first 3 cylinders merge to form half of the T4 flange, and the rear 3 cylinders merge to form the other half of the flange. They are completely separated, and each set of banks uses its own wastegate

Very nice. How much is it? I've might of missed the price somewhere. And you know if it clears a s13 strut bar?

The manifold surely clears a strut bar, but the turbo and turbo elbow pipe may not. It depends on the turbo you run. The price is not known yet and it appears that 5 people plus you are interested.

Yea I want to run a GT3076r this winter for my build and I think I can make it work. But like everyone, how long would this last for? I do want this but not until the holidays are over with.

Just a little note from your friendly moderator.

Group buys are usually strongly discouraged from the forums as they are risky and difficult to police. There are numerous examples of group-buys that have gone bad and resulted in theft of money and goods.

Having said that, I'm not going to pull this one as Darius is a well-standing trusted member. I personally trust him to organize this deal and make sure everything is handled in a fair manner. So please don't view this post as a lack of confidence in him.

However, please note that NICOclub has no part in this venture. NICO does not condone this group-buy and cannot be held liable for any losses that might occur from this activity.

I wish you all the best of luck getting a good price on this spectacular product. I wish I had the funds to get a full race manifold myself.

Ok I called Full-Race and here's what they said:

"For 5 manifolds, retail is $11,500+shipping, but we can give you free shipping and $100 off each manifold for a total of $11,000." I said thanks for the guy's help and that I'd have to check with the rest of the people to see if they were still able to go through with the deal.

So is anyone in on this? $2200 each. It doesn't seem that they are flexible on price since they didn't even drop the price 5%. At this price, I'm probably out and waiting for either LoveFab or Wasabi Garage to get back to us.

Eikon - Thanks for the compliment. I try to give back to the community that has provided me with so much knowledge and good friends.

same here, i was willing to give them a second chance if they said maybe 1100 or something but not 2200 that is ridiculous. 200 dollars worth of materials and maybe 6 hours for them to assemble and weld it up? they are too proud of it sorry but Im out. all i have to say is where Geoff can put that manifold. i talked to him about a year about one that a buddy got for a r33 he was doing and was talked to like i owed him something. and the worst thing was that it was 2200 dollars and it didn't fit. sent it back twice. the second time they built another manifold and when it came back the wastegate tube towards the front hit the strut tower in the skyline, so my buddy just cut it and fixed it at his shop so he didn't have to send it back a third time. i appreciate good work but I'll tell you, for 2200 that thing better fit so well it tries to bolt itself on. such a shame. they could have really done well by us. i really do appreciate the attempt Darius i was really hoping it would really work out..... thanks. don't let this discourage you maybe you can arrange something with lovefab?????

I wouldn't hold my breath for the love fab manifold, their fwd SR20 manifold costs $900. I expect the RB to costs 2x that, maybe a couple hundred less during introduction.

I emailed Wasabi garage but never got a response, dunno if I wanna deal with a company that can't spend the time to shoot back a simple email.

If worse comes to worse I'll just rock that OBX manifold on ebay they have. The welds look damn good too. Plus I'll customize it if anything.

And yes, I SAID IT!!
