I had all fluids replaced last week by local mechanic, brake fluid (DOT 4), power steering (synth), rear end (synth), complete transmission flush (Redline), along with a new battery, new capsules, and a few other little things (belts).
They cost was $750, my mechanic remarked, we changed all those fluids, many our out ahead of everythign in this car. I have now had the transmission flushed at 60k, flushed at 75k, dropped 11 quarts at 84k and completely flushed and replaced at 92k (all this took place over 7 years).
Well that was a little more than I thought I was spending, but you know I haven't had a mechanical issue with the Q yet other than worn out parts (shocks, springs, struts and torsion bars) and a gas door that popped open on its own (the only thing my extended warranty paid out).
These are as reliable as any car ever produced if you take care of them.
