Hello all,
I have a 2 qrt accusump and a 19 row oil cooler with -10AN inlets. I had it hooked up as follows:
Adapter off the filter housing with 3/8" ports with -10AN fittings.
Fed into a remote filter mount, -10AN inlet with 3/8" ports again.
Out of the remote mount and into a thermostat with 3/8" ports, when oil temp is high it diverts oil through to the cooler through -8AN lines.
Accusump is tee'd into the return from the thermostat, all -10AN.
I got oil pressure issues when running, would only get around 30psi hot or cold. A quick stab of the throttle would get it to peak around 80psi.
I pulled all the above off and just put a filter on. Oil pressure is as you would expect at around 80psi at cold idle.
I need to hook up the Accusump again as I'm getting oil starvation under heavy braking (rear sump, no baffles).
I'm thinking of hooking the oil cooler up to receive full flow. I will be getting a new filter sandwich adapter, looking at the Morosso ones with 1/2" ports. Will -10AN the whole way be big enough to not have oil pressure issues? I don't really want to spend another $300 on AN fittings that I will just be removing again...
